*This post is in collaboration with Lavendersun. Some of the items in this post have been gifted however all my opinions are my own. Y’know me I will always be honest no matter what.*
Who doesn’t love to shop?! I may be a massive bargain hunter but I still love a good shop. In fact, I think it makes my shopping habit worse.
When I knew I was expecting Arthur I had to seriously restrain myself from picking out the cutest outfits for him. We were very lucky to of had some amazing quality hand-me-downs. However now he’s here and growing rapidly I have allowed myself to indulge in a couple of little outfits.
With the weather warming up and our first family holiday fast approaching I’ve been looking out for some new little vest for Arthur.
Buying clothes for myself and buying clothes for Arthur are two very different things. As a mum, you always want the best for your little bundle. The things I look for in my clothes and what I look for in his are very different.
Quality comes first
When Lavendersun contacted me to collaborate with them I was keen to have a nosey at the customer reviews. When shopping online it’s tricky to know the quality of the clothes so reading customer reviews is where you gain the best insight. The reviews were what got me excited about working with Lavendersun. You can check out there online shop by clicking <here>.
When Arthurs grow arrived I was not disappointed. It was soft enough that I didn’t have to shove it in the wash before he could enjoy it.
Easy to wear
There are some lovely looking baby grows out there. Some that make your bubba look way more fashionable than you. Let’s face it there is nothing cuter than seeing a little baby in little trousers and a cute grow, but let me tell you, those “stylish” outfits are NOT easy to wear. For both mum and baby.
So when picking out an outfit for Arthur, this was something I was looking for. You need something that is quick to whip-off in a poo-plosion emergency, a baby grow that isn’t complicated to do back up when you’re in your 3 am zombie mode.
The vest I chose for Arthur ticked all the right boxes. The one thing I would say is that the sizes come up a little bit big. I chose Arthur a 0-3 months baby grow and it came up a little big for him. He is now 6 weeks old and was 6lb 8 oz when he was born, only fitting into premature clothes. Even though he is defiantly starting to chub up, he’s still on the smaller end of 0-3 month clothing.
There’s no doubt that when it comes to money I am a little bit of a tight arse, I wish my bum was as tight as my purse, #mumproblems. For me, I am always looking for a bargain. Something that is good quality but doesn’t have an expensive price tag attached.
I was surprised to see such stylish and fun baby clothing that didn’t have that huge price tag attached. What a winner!
Overall I was really impressed with the brand and can’t wait to buy some of their older boy’s clothes for when Arthur is a little bigger.
