So I’ve wanted to do a post like this for a while now but wanted to get all the cute pictures to go with it, plus I haven’t actually hosted a pamper night for months, so Saturday nights pamper night was well over due.
Every now n’ again I have my friends over to do a bit of a pamper/movie evening. Usually we end up chatting the whole way through the film and eating an obsessed amount of chocolate and leaving our face masks on so long that our faces feel like we’ve just face planted into cement.
Anyway, I just wanted to share with you all, what makes my pamper evenings perfect.
First lets talk essentials:
Chocolate. Theres nothing better then sitting with your girlfriends stuffing your face with chocolate. My old friends chocolate fingers, maltesers and strawberry laces (well I say old, they come around pretty regularly) make an appearance almost every pamper session. A little piece of advice, you know that saying less is more? Well it DOES NOT apply here. Just sayin’
Wine, or Mocktails. I’m not an every night drinker but I am partial to a glass of rose or presseco now and then. Who am I kidding its more then one glass when me and my girls get together. If you’re not much of a drinker, your the designated driver or your pregnant then mocktails are the way forward.
Everything masks. I went a bit crazy this time and splashed out on the pamper side of the night (all of £10 may I add, I know I know, I need to control myself). I brought eye masks, face masks, hand masks, hair masks and a few nail polishes. I was in TK Maxx looking for Halloween decorations and got side tracked by their “by nature” products. Being half kiwi I couldn’t wait to give these products a go, especially as most of the products have manuka honey in them, the purest honey and originating from New Zealand, usually quite expensive products due to shipping but these three products were all under £10.
Movies, or trash telly. At the moment I’m loving first dates. Getting to be the fly on the wall for some of the most embarrassing, cute, special, daunting, sickening and personal moments of the dating game make for fabulous telly. I just love the older couples. Y’know the couples that are in their 80’s and ask each other questions like “do you use viagra?”Straight up. On A FIRST DATE!
Now on to the relaxation part.
Before my girlfriends even arrive I run myself a beautiful bubble bath with lush bath bombs, candles, bubbles and my favourite soul by nature coffee scrub. This gets me all warm and cosy and ready to jump in my jammy’s (pyjamas) and sets me up for an evening of pure chill.
What more could you need to make a pamper evening perfect?
I’ll leave you with this rather hilarious picture of me trying out my first coffee scrub and being rather excited about it.
Ta-ra for now
