How to create a cosy festive cinema experience

*Disclaimer* This post is a paid collaboration with Panasonic, all opinions are my own.

The festive season is upon us. It’s finally December we are offically aloud to talk all things Christmas. Although, I’ve been talking about it for the past month…or two. Christmas can often be filled with big parties, family meals and lot’s of planning. Just thinking about it get’s me all excited… yet it can be quite exhasting too.

So snuggling up in front of a good film is one of my favourite festive down times. Arthur isn’t at the age to watch TV and definatly doesn’t get exacited about Christmas films. However, that doesn’t stop us cuddling up with him once he’s fallen asleep. It’s just heaven when we can get cosy in front of the TV, I know Jack has the 4k Ultra HD LED Panasonic on his Christmas list this year… Maybe Santa is real after all?

In the Winter month’s there’s nothing I like more than to stay in of an evening and cosy up.

Setting the scene.

Let me set the scene for you.

The Christmas tree lights are on. We’ve got a pizza ready to tuck into and lots of yummy treats for after. Blankets, cosy socks and pyjams are on. Finally, our first Christmas movie of the year, one of my all time favourites…Love Actually.

There’s something about this film that gives me all the festive feels. Full of LOVE, pardon the pun. But that’s the true meaning of Christmas after all? It’s a film that always reminds me to reach out to family and friends and just catch up. Scrap all the fancy parties, big dinners and planning the perfect NYE. Just have a good glass of bubbly with your friends and finish off the evening in front of your favourite film.

The Essentials

Before you settle down for your perfect Christmas cinema experience there are a few “essentials” that you’re going to need. Ok, need might be a bit exagerated. Want, is proberbly much more suited.

A cosy blanket or two. You can’t get all snuggled up with your loved one without a blanket. We have about 1983 million in our house. I have always been one to get cosy and warm under a blanket rather than wake the heating up as if you’re in sunny spain in the middle of summer.

Festive pyjama’s. I love buying pyjama’s at Christmas time. Fun fact for you all, nearly every Christmas Eve my mum would let us (my sister and I) open one present and that was usually a pair of pyjam’s. We’d then sit and watch a film in front of the fire together. Blissful.

Your favourite sweet treats. If you can’t treat yourself at this time of year then when can you?! I’m always one to find an excuse to justify me scoffing my face full of yummy chocolates and sweets.

Christmas lights. To create that cinema experience., it’s important to have the lighting as low as possible. Turning on your twinkly fairy lights is a perfect mood setter for the evening ahead.

Your favourite film. It wouldn’t be a cinema experience without your favourite film now would it?

A loved one to snuggle. Although I could watch my favourite festive film on my own with all my sweet treats, christmas lights in the background whilst in my cosy new Christmas pyjama’s. It’s always a lot more enjoyable when you can rest your head on your loved one.

Merry Christmas

Defiantly agree with that. Being cosy in front of a film is just lovely, as much as I love Arthur being so into playing I am looking forward to him (hopefully) occationally wanting to snuggle in front of a telly.

      Much Love
