Wedding season is here!
I LOVE A WEDDING. Who doesn’t?
They are great fun but often for us girlies, it can cost us a small fortune. As you lot know by now, I love a bargain.
So it’s with so much joy I bring to you these sassy, yet stunning dresses/outfits that will help you rock that wedding like it’s 1975. Don’t actually know if that was a good year for weddings but hey, I’m rolling with it. Without spending half your summer holiday savings.
Pretty in pink
I think this dress is just perfect for a wedding. You want to feel beautiful, even on someone else’s big day, it’s not like you have to be the ugly sister for god sake. There will be camera’s everywhere, you want to make sure you’re feeling your most confident when those photos are finally published.
This pretty little nude dress is from BooHoo. You might see a little bit of a pattern occur within this post.
Shoes are such a tricky one for me but I’m so glad that these little kitten block heels are in fashion at the moment. When you know you will dance the night away like you’re a backing dancer for Beyonce, then wearing the right shoe’s is an essential part of your outfit.
I found these beauties on Boohoo. For only £20 I think they’re a bargain. They are so comfy! Believe me, I’ve taken them for a test drive. I’ve danced around the house with Arthur in my arms, and he’s a chunky monkey atm weighing over 15lbs now!
Body Con Beauty
This dress is possibly a controversial choice. Not because it’s body-con but because I’ve been told by a few people that it looks white, but trust me it’s blue. I wouldn’t break the golden rule of wearing white to a wedding.
I actually bought this from ASOS a few years back but PLT has one almost identical for only £15!
There’s this whole thing with weddings, that you can’t upstage the bride. As if there’s a certain etiquette, and to an extent, I believe this is true. However, I say, if you’ve got it flaunt it! When I say “it” I mean body confidence.
This whole thing about wearing a dress that is at least knee length, having a jacket or shawl to cover you up, and not wearing something that is too revealing or shows off your figure. Why not? You’re not going to meet the queen for god sake, and even then, wear something that makes you shine with confidence.
Bodycon dresses for me have always been a staple in my wardrobe and wearing one to a wedding just seems fitting with my style.
Dare to be bold.
When looking for wedding outfits, I stumbled across this jumpsuit and thought to myself, do I dare?
Do I dare to wear this to a wedding? HELL YES!
Ok, I hear you. It doesn’t seem like the type of thing you’d wear to the ceremony, but for a lot of us mere evening guests, I think this bold red jumpsuit is perfect.
It’s hell’a comfortable for absolutely smashing a dance-off with that drunk uncle who’s had one too many vino’s and thinks his Elvis dance moves can beat a Beyonce dance routine? I mean come on.
This little beauty was from Boohoo and only £15, I mean… how can you resist? I’ve spiced things up with this outfit and paired it with my all-time favourite heels. Unfortunately, these were River Island quite a few years ago but I have found some similar for you, also from Boohoo.
If you’re looking for a wedding guess dress without breaking into your summer savings I hope this post has helped you find something a little bit out of the norm, daring (when it comes to wedding etiquette) and cheap and cheerful.
All outfits are linked by where I bought them from, so just click on ‘Boohoo’, for example, and it will take you straight to it.
